Education: Ms. Korman is a Licensed Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Minor in Spanish from Bradley University.
Client Base: Ms. Korman primarily works with children, teens, adolescents, and young adults. She has experience providing individual therapy and family therapy through school and practice settings. Her areas of interest include working with those who have anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, mood disorders, and trauma. She also enjoys working with those who are going through life transitions.
Therapeutic Approach: Ms. Korman approaches each individual or family by being mindful of the systems impacting their lives. Ms. Korman values empathy, and acknowledges the uniqueness of people's situations and the circumstances they are under. Ms. Korman uses a variety of interventions from various theoretical lenses such as CBT, and family systems. She uses a strength-based approach with her clients. Ms. Korman provides a fun and caring environment in which clients can feel safe to express themselves.
