Education: Masters of Science in School Counseling from National Louis University; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Minor in Youth Ministry/Adolescent Studies from Judson University .
Ms. Sutor is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Client Base: Ms. Sutor enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She works with individuals presenting with ADHD, trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorder, depression, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, anxiety disorders and adjustment disorders. She has experience working in public and therapeutic day schools and currently splits her time between Connections Day School and Counseling Connections.
Therapeutic Approach: Ms. Sutor enjoys working with individual clients as well as their families or support systems. She likes to meet clients where they are and uses a welcoming and non judgemental approach. Ms. Sutor uses various techniques in her therapeutic approach such as mindfulness, creative or art activities, games, talk therapy, and challenging negative thoughts to help support the individual. She also likes to focus on the strengths of each individual and how to use that to best support them in their change and growth. She provides a safe, caring environment that focuses on managing client problems in a healthy and productive way.
